ONLINE ORIENTATION - for Employees

An online orientation is available for your employees to use  if your agency/entity human resources office has chosen to utilize.    Be aware this is not intended to replace the function of HR. Any employee who is provided the training link and agency key, is responsible for completing and obtaining the new hire checklist at the end. The checklist must be provided to HR and forwarded to EGI before any benefit enrollment will be honored.  If you have questions regarding the online training, please contact Karissa Toalson at 307-777-8657 or email karissa.toalson@wyo.gov.

HR TRAINING

Benefits Training for new Human Resource personnel is available from EGI monthly and refresher courses are held quarterly. The training presentation is developed from the contents of the Benefit Specialist Handbook.  Whether you are a new HR employee or you are an existing HR employee and need a refresher, please email karissa.toalson@wyo.gov to sign up for a scheduled training. If your agency has a new HR staff member, please reach out to Karissa for the appropriate material/forms and to schedule a short HIPAA training to gain access to the EGI Portal to assist on entering employees while waiting for the next training session. New HR staff should not conduct an orientation with an employee until they have successfully completed a full day training. Failure to do so will result in access removal from the EGI Portal.

Refresher Training : Held via Google Hangout Meeting from 8:00am - 12:00pm


Full Day Training: Held in person at WY State Library Building from 8:30am - 4:30pm

Please reach out to Karissa if you want to schedule a separate training for your team who process benefits with your employees on a specific topic or just a general refresher course, etc.
