About the Department of A&I


The Department of Administration & Information is a service organization that exists to support all Wyoming State Government agencies. Staffed by more than 200 highly trained, skilled, and motivated state employees, we serve our diverse customer base by providing information, accounting, building maintenance and support, fiscal reporting, along with human resources, motor pool, and public library services.


It's the defined intention of the Department of A&I to satisfy all customer requests according to the values of accountability, integrity, professionalism, commitment, reliability, respect, and collaboration. Further, A&I leadership is charged with these goals:

  • to improve efficiencies and streamline operations where possible;

  • to optimize the use of available technology;

  • to support and develop agency employees;

  • to strive for effective communication;

  • to exceed our customers' expectations;

  • and to wisely manage entrusted state resources.

The Department of A&I has developed a balanced score card that is used with its strategic plan as a tool to measure progress, to assist in determining what is important and to provide direction for the future. The balanced score card is shown in conjunction with our strategic plan.
