Bid Exception Approvals and Bids for Budget Fiscal Year 17

Bids from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017

Bid Exception Approvals from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017

Welcome to the new Bid Information Center, provided by the Procurement Section of the Department of Administration and Information.

The links below provide information to a listing of non-construction items, which of those are being competitively bid, and which are proceeding forward under other statutorily approved methods.

Wyoming Statutes provide for three (3) basic approaches - competitive sealed bidding, competitive negotiation and noncompetitive negotiation. See W.S. 9-2-1016(b).

Competitive sealed bidding for supplies or services exceeding $7500 is the standard approach. Competitive negotiation is available when the administrator determines competitive sealed bidding is not feasible or practical. Noncompetitive negotiation is available only when the administrator determines competition is not feasible, and the Governor or his designee also approves.

Previously, information on construction projects was provided through the Department of Administration and Information. However, in accordance with W.S. 16-6-1001(a)(i)(E), reporting on capitol construction has now shifted to the State Construction Department, Construction Management Division.
